Balloon-a-Palooza Set up: Nov 10- 16, Competition: Nov. 12-14

This wonderful balloon art exhibit draws more than 10,000 attendees every year. The 2007 theme is "Bedtime Stories" bringing all those fairytales we learned as kids back to life in balloons.

This year we are going to do something very different, The Balloon-A-Palooza Designers' Challenge. Produced by award winning designer Carmen Ballering.

Balloon artists will choose their own fairytale sculpture to create. Now here is first of the "twist that makes this different - voting for the best sculpture will be done by the general public in attendance at the event.

Prizes - of course a contest must have prizes and the best contest should have the best prizes. Our second "twist" is the contest will not have categories - may the best sculpture win whether it is stacked rounds, frames, matrix, twisted or twackered. Build what the public loves and win. Did I say win? I meant win BIG!

1st prize - $1,500 - People's Balloon Artist Award, 2nd Prize - $500, 3rd Prize - $250 All prizes are cash money. Balloon-a-Palooza Set up: Nov 10- 16, Competition: Nov. 12-14

Be a volunteer, register today! even if you are not competing you will have lots of fun and will learn from other artists. No experience necessary to be a voulnteer.
