Is 50-lbs adequate for 9-ft col outdoors? - 2007/07/12 11:40 Would 50-lbs of weight be adequate on bases?

I primarily make packed columns and arches for indoors. Now I have a client interested in columns (6-foot with 3-foot round topper) and arches (about 12-feet wide by 10-feet high) on her pool patio. How many POUNDS of weight would you suggest I place on the bases...as there is no other way to "secure" them with stakes or lines. Thank you for your suggestions.
