Intro - 2007/07/23 01:07 Hi all...

This is Mike & Marlene...

We have a Lawn Greetings/Yard Card Business and have been looking into adding balloons...We have been in business since 6/26/06...

In researching a bit more, we ran into Qualatex and am now seriously considering delivering Balloon Bouquets as an addition to our business...

The Forum for our Lawn Greetings is the ILGA (International Lawn Greetings Association) located at www.lawn-greetings.com - It is a very helpful site with all the members sharing...

We are looking for a Forum about Balloons that is similar...

Do any exist???

Thanks In Advance...

You are definitely correct about this site and Firefox...I originally came upon it using IE and it was very cumbersome to get around...

Firefox makes the difference...

I have been searching and searching for Forums/Message Boards that are comprised of Balloon Professionals from around the world and this is the only one I have been able to find...Are there more???

Once Again, Thanks In Advance...

Mike

Re:Intro - 2007/07/25 04:05 Thanks Twister...

Been there, done that, as well as Qualatex...

MDB2 looks like it's mostly for balloon entertainers (twisters), which I do't believe we will be taking our business in that direction...

We just want to offer Balloon Bouquets and possibly get into Balloon Decorating Services - but that will be way down the road, if at all...

We also just got a wholesale account set up with Burton and Burton and am looking for local resources for helium...

We are thinking our next step should be to order one or more of the training program DVDs/packages from Qualatex and read all of the valuable info provided at BalloonHQ...

What would your suggestions/recommendations be???

Thanks In Advance...

Mike...

Re:Intro - 2007/08/01 10:43 Welcome to our site mike & marlene

we are here to help, the purpose of this site is to help people like you start their balloon business.

This forum will be mostly of decorators, well I guess because the person that runs it... me, is a decorator or as many friends in the industry call me a twaker.

Well in english this means a decorator and a twister. But really I don't do much twisting. I will be helping out with designs and ideas in decorating, sculptures and deliveries. It is easier for me to do it online and not over the phone. We actually have a big membership, people are just starting to post more and more hopefully this site will be of great value to many of you who are starting.

We will post about all the events in the industry, new products, seminars and more.
I will be posting about all the events that I attend. I just came back from Ballooniversity and I'm heading to Balloon Camp where I will be teaching. I will also post pictures soon.

again welcome
